Exploring the Revs Institute for Automotive Research, Inc., Library

The research library was established by Mr. Miles C. Collier at The Collier Collection in 1989 to advance the scholarly study of the automobile. With thoughtful and deliberate acquisitions, particularly the accession of the Peter Blair-Richley Collection in 2000, The Collier Collection is recognized for its extraordinary breadth and scope. Mr. Blair-Richley, a celebrated authority on the bibliography of the automobile, spent his lifetime collating one of the world’s largest personal automotive history libraries at his home in England. Mr. Blair-Richley embraced The Collier Collection Library as the new home for his extolled collection. Here, a scholar has access to hundreds of thousands of books, journals and documents that echo the importance of the history of transportation, technology and business.
